Myers Kanata Hyundai

I bought a brand new 2019 Elantra in Sept/19. The vehicle's manual transmission has an issue hesitating in first gear that has been twice acknowledged by the Myers shop foreman. After 4 months of emails they acknowledged that it can't be repaired. Myers offered that I could trade it in for an automatic if I pay $10K extra. My response to Myers and Hyundai Canada that this is unacceptable has been met by silence. Clearly the preferred repsonse from me is that I just go away. This is my 3rd major i$$ue with a Myers dealer in 3-4 years.

Dealing with the sales associate (Ping) was a very pleasant experience. She is very energetic and understands our needs. However there was a miscommunication regarding the offer that had to be escalated to the dealership manager, and not to my advantage. The other subsequent issue not identified until after delivery were two features, sold as part of the top of the line model, are not equipped on the car ( wireless charging and idle start/stop). Since the purchase there have been minor inconveniences with service and parts departments but this reflects on the dealership as a whole and not any responsibility of Ping Tran whom I would and have recommended. As this is my third Hyundai vehicle I'm hoping Kanata Hyundai will provide the service excellence of my past experiences. Overall I am very happy with the vehicle purchase.

After having an appointment @ 11am to have tires installed I was told it would be a least 3 hrs until it would be done (out of town customer). Why give an appointment if it can’t be honoured? The tires weren’t even assembled on rims (purchased with new car sale) after my 3rd return trip the tires were assembled and I took them to the Renfrew Walmart for installation since they couldn’t give me a approximate time to install. Just a pathetic experience. The overall car sale wasn’t much better. The same tire debacle happened to my daughter’s car a week later. Very, very frustrating!
