Great

This was the first time I’ve ever bought my own car (it’s been mini vans for the last 20 years to accommodate kids) and the experience was easy, fun and just great!!!

I was sold a lemon and nothing was done about it!

I bought my brand new Accent in August 2014. By January 2015, the battery was having issues (i.e. not starting right before work). This happened multiple times over the course of the past five years. They replaced the battery twice while the car was under warranty, but that was obviously not the problem. I've had to put a block heater in (last winter). This makes it so that my car won't start only once a week rather than every second day. However, just this week, it hasn't started twice despite being plugged in - and the temperatures haven't really gone down for the winter yet. I'm a single woman and this leaves me stranded every time. I will not be buying a piece of junk Hyundai ever again thanks to my experience. Avoid at all costs! UPDATE (December 10th, 2019): I brought my car in to a garage I trust and when the battery was replaced by them, I was told that it was never replaced in the first place. The battery was the original that came with the car and was six years old. This means that I was LIED TO when the service department (when I was still under warranty) told me that they had replaced the battery. This has cost me hundreds of dollars (block heater, Uber rides when the car didn't start, replacing the battery, tow trucks) when a simple, truthful fix while I was still under warranty could have solved everything. This is criminal in my opinion and will not be the last you hear of this!

Ron was great to deal with and it wasn’t easy as the dealership was going through a major renovation and things were hectic.

WORST SERVICE EVER - DOES NOT DESERVE 1 STAR

I booked my 2018 Santa Fe in for an oil change, a recall and for them to look at an issue with the driver's door seal. My appointment was today at 8.45am. A Kanata Hyundai service personnel told me in an unpleasant manner that there would be a 3-5 hour wait time. I said that I couldn't wait for anymore that 2.5 hours so maybe we should reschedule as I needed to be away from their location by 11.30 am at the latest. We came to an agreement for them to go ahead with the oil change and if they didn't get the time for the other issues I would book another appointment. At 11.15 am I went to the service department to learn my car had not moved from where I parked it 2.5 hours earlier!!! When I complained and asked to speak to a manager the employer said loudly to the management team "I've got one for you guys" (meaning me, as one of those people), and walked away. The assistant manager then came out to inform me that yes that is how they talk to the paying customer but it had been addressed. I'm not sure if that was meant to make me feel that it was okay???? I then proceed to voice my frustration and anger at how I had been treated and when I asked for the name of the manager was told I had no right to ask for anyone's name and that I was being unreasonable and told loudly "to get out!!" I am determined to pursue this appalling behaviour with Hyundai Canada and the Myers Auto Group that I received from a service department that obviously does not know how to schedule appointments or how to treat their paying customers!!!
