Very disappointed
I was incredibly disappointed with the personal support worker program at the Fredericton campus. The classes reminded me of being back in high school. The information was fed to me not taught and out assignments really required little to no effort to complete. I went two weeks without an instructor at one point and another time we had an alternate instructor for three weeks who was very rude and disrespectful to students when they were telling the class about their experiences. If an individual was having difficulties with the subject matter our instructor spent considerable class time reexplaining everything and we (the other students) became incredibly frustrated because it put us behind. When it came time for our placements we didn't get our schedules until a week before we were due to start them not really allowing much time to work our lives around them. We were also supposed to have visits by our career services advisor, she never once visited my placement nor did she have any communication with my preceptor. Overall, it the school itself felt very poorly run for the money that I spent to go there.

Unorganized and unnecessary.
First of all more almost all of the corses I took is not needed in a medical job or any administration job. The school was very unorganized an no one seemed to know what was going on. There was always some kind of fundraising going on at least once per week that required students to either bring in something to be sold for fundraising purposes or having to purchase something. It seemed the school was more interested in raising money to donate then they were in the students. There was no grad photos taken for students to purchase we were told of we wanted them done we would have to get them done ourselves. We also never had any graduating composite photo on the wall even though there was one from every year past. We were told employers were always coming into the school to hire people and there was always job fairs, there was 1job fair and 4 out of the 10 employers did not show up. The job placements were done last minute and some of my classmates did not know where they were going for their placement until the day before they were starting. I could go on for hours about all the problems with this school. A lot would need to be changed before I would reccomend this school.

The staff was wonderful!
The start was shaky and very in organized. I really enjoyed my core classes and classmates. The school wasn't great until about halfway through the program when we got to know more of the staff, they made it bearable. Without the amazing staff, most of my class probably would have quit!

A comfortable family like environment
The paralegal modules could have been a little more structured and planned out but besides that an overall good experience.
