Business is not what it used to be
Over several years I my wife and I have purchased up to nine vehicles from Haldimand Motors. Each purchase was handled well by a caring staff and we were always totally satisfied with every aspect of the sale. Until now. Our recent purchase was not at all handled the way we were used to. Many communication and parts replacement issues clouded the whole experience and we were somewhat disappointed throughout the process. Sadly, we feel that Haldimand Motors has become "just another used car dealership". The staff serviced our needs because they had to, not because they wanted to.

A very positive, no hassle, no price bargaining experience.
Very happy with my new Ram truck. I had some small issues with it at first but Haldiman motors was quick to fix everything to my complete satisfaction.

One stop shopping
I was looking for a used car, haldimand motors has a big selection. I found a car I liked & test drove it. Haldimand motors had the car ready for me to pick up & take home in just a couple days. Easy peasy quick & easy. I will go there again for my next car.

Unsure about this deal
I bought a car from them just about a week ago. The car looked good, they say there are no accidents on it but it did have some body damage and it pulls to the right with a missing fog light. This looks like minor damage that could have been covered out of pocket by the owner without going through insurance. Otherwise the car is good so I bought it. It seems that as soon as financing and everything went through the sales person is no longer corresponding with me through email. This makes me nervous as he asked me to send all loan payout information to what looks like a general email box. They did not confirm receiving it. But this makes me nervous as the information is personal. But I understand they are busy so I am trying to let it go. Pickup day should be soon. Not sure when though, I imagine sometime this week.
I also had a vehicle trade-in. They offered me the lowest amount they could when I asked if they can come up a little they wouldn't even consider it. It is what it is, I could have walked away and still can, granted I will lose my deposit. This is still a consideration as I am not 100% comfortable with the lack of communication after an agreement has been made.
I did mention at one point that the price of the vehicle I purchased from them was at the top end of any other one on the market with that kind of mileage. He stated that he heard horror stories about people dealing with other lots and not getting taken care of afterwards in the event that you have an issue. Fair enough. But given the lack of communication as to when the vehicle will be ready or even if they have received my information it remains to be seen whether or not I will be taken care of if there is an issue.

Used to love them
For years now I’ve always gotten my tire and oil changed there never had an issue. Husband had a an issue last time he went and he still took my car there for me the other day and said never again after. Vehicle was booked for an oil and tire change he told them no for the balancing and find out they only did the tires and balancing after being told we weren’t going to and then he had to wait longer because they said they didn’t know it was also to have an oil change even though it was confirmed at drop off and what was booked. At some point since my last visit their prices must have increased significantly as it cost about double from the last time I went which I go regularly when it’s maintenance becomes due. Very disappointed and will need to find a new place.
