Worst Experience

First, the rate quoted was higher than the actual rate charged. I made a committemtn to rent the 2 vans for $39.99 per day but when I checked them out they were $79.99 per day. Secondly, I was told had 3,000km on my contract but when I checked in I was told I have only 200km per day which I did not pay attention to while driving the car and had incur overage charges. There is a long story about the 3,000 km which is only an advertising tool and I believed it was real. The surprise comes when you check in when the real truth comes out and they start pointing you to the fine print. They make sure you initial the fine print without any verbal explanation about the 200km per day restriction. I would never ever use this rental car ever again. My worst experience with renting a car. I will be moving the corporate account else where.

I had no experience

I keep receiving emails about car rentals and associated surveys. The problem is... I DID NOT RENT A CAR. Please update your records.

Despite deposit did not have requested vehicle, poor customer service

The check in process was lengthy -- we waited to receive a vehicle that wasn't even our requested vehicle for over 30 minutes despite confirming our vehicle day of and putting deposit down a week earlier. Unacceptable service and operations.

Don’t get scratched vehicle

The min van was scratched on the front bumper near the bottom and was marked when I picked it up. When I drove on the highway I can hear a thumping sound. Got out and check did not see anything. Found out that the bottom plastic at the front door Nader the van was coming off and wind from the highway must have pulled it down, causing the thumping sound. I called Discount and they could not do anything. I was 150km from home and they said no problem driving it back. Well know I am charged for it 500$. So we are to check the underside of the vehicles now?

Very poor customer service with the representative that was assisting us.

We asked the woman that was assisting us if another smaller truck happened to be available, she said that there was. I explained that we didn't need such a large truck, but it was all that was available online. She agreed to rent the smaller one to us, but informed me that I would have to pay the same rate. When I inquired why, the employee was rude and all of a sudden 'the car was no longer available". This was possibly the worst customer service experience. The woman was not customer focused and made the entire environment very uncomfortable with her poor attitude. There were other staff members there who seemed to be enjoying themselves and chatting with other customers, she would interrupt them to delegate tasks. All in all it wasn't a good experience and I don't plan to return to Budget again.
