Hopefully this email will solve our problem
We got a car (Mazda 3 sport 2017) from Barrhaven Mazda at Ottawa.
Oct 20, 2017 -- My husband had a car accident on Oct 20, 2017 and the car was towed to Barrhaven Mazda for fix on the same day. The insurance company did the appraisal and paid the amount in the following week.
Nov 3, 2017 – I called and emailed several times in the past week and each time I was transferred to different people and I had to tell the whole story again and again. Finally on Nov 3, 2017, I was told the car was picked up by the body shop and they were going to check and fix it. Somebody would call me to let me know how long it would take for the car to be fixed.
Nov 22, 2017 – between Nov 3 and Nov 22, I called many times and email times for the progress of fixing our car. I talked with James and he said they are waiting for the parts on Nov 16. On Nov 22, I emailed again and I got reply from Doug Gibson (service manager) said parts would be released on that day.
Nov 30, 2017 – I emailed again on Nov 30 to check the progress and I was told by Doug Gibson that some parts are still on back order and he doesn’t has a day for me when the parts will be received. He said Scott Dance (bodyshop manager) will contact me but I didn’t get any call or email from him yet.
The lady, Joyce Cheah, from the insurance company also contacted Barrhaven Mazda and body shop many times to solve the problem. On Nov 30, she told me Scott supposes to call within two business day. Unfortunately I didn’t get any call from Scott yet. She also said she was told some parts wouldn’t be received until DEC 28, 2017.
Dec 5, 2017 – I didn’t get call from Scott so I called him on Dec 5, 2017 and I left a message to a guy there and I was told Scott will call me back. I got NO call.
Dec 6, 2017 – today is Dec 6, 2017. My husband has driving the car from rental company for 46 DAYS . Joyce from the insurance company said the maximum rental fee will be reached very soon and we have to pay the rental ourselves if the car is still not fixed.
I have reached out Barrhaven Mazda for helping us with the problem but I got no response for it. I CANNOT believe it takes SO LONG for a car to be fixed when the damage is not huge. I am VERY DISAPPONTED with Mazda’s service.
I have NO CLUE when our car can be fixed. PLEASE HELP with the problem because we CANNOT afford to continue renting the car to the end the year and my husband NEEDS the car for work.

This is my fourth Mazda purchase but first from a different dealer. this dealer is sill in the same family as the owner is the same but the staff is completely new to me. I found them to be very knowledgeable and they provided me with an excellent buying experience. As this location is a bit closer I am hoping to receive the same great service from the service department in the future.
