The only downside to my Honda repairs was that the parts were back ordered and the car couldn’t be repaired for two weeks. The delay was due to Covid and unavoidable.
As usual Dan was informative and understanding with my questions and my concerns. He explained why the brake flush hadn't been done at the time of the certification of the car of which I purchased June 2nd 2020.
At the time of the work being completed Dan explained it was discovered metal under engine shield missing and was not replaced as not in stock; it has been ordered. Dan explained he checked all the notes and there was nothing mentioning the "missing metal piece". I appreciate it being replaced as "goodwill".
Palladino's and Dan Strong have been very good to me. I appreciate there kindness.
Our vehicle wasn't ready when promised, and work was left uncompleted.
We took our CRV in for a routine service and inspection. We dropped it off early (07:30am) so they would have plenty of time to do the service before we needed it ready for 01:30pm. They called us shortly before 01:00pm to tell us about a problem with a sensor, and to ask about extra work they felt should be completed (engine and cabin air filters and rear brakes). I declined the extra work and reminded them they had had the vehicle for the whole morning and we were expecting our vehicle to be ready for 01:30pm. They said they would try.....
Needles to say, our CRV wasn't ready when it should have been, and my wife had to sit around the dealership while the work was completed.
In the days following, I noticed the technician who worked on our CRV had NOT;
1) reset the oil life indicator (still indicates 30% oil life).
2) re-attached the short arm that limits the travel of the opened glove box (he would have had to disconnect it to inspect the cabin air filter).
3) closed all the snaps that hold the engine air filter lid in place (there are 3, the rearmost snap was left undone. He would have needed to open the airbox lid to inspect the engine air filter).
Also, when I inspected the engine air filter myself, yes it was a little dirty, and I will be replacing it myself.
HOWEVER, I noticed there was more dirt/ grease on ENGINE side of the air filter. This would be as a result of somebody with dirt/ grease covered hands handling the air filter and then re-installing it back into the vehicle.
I still have yet to have another look at the rear brakes, HOWEVER, I do know that when I inspected them myself the day before the CRV went in for service, they looked great.
It seems the Service department is used to people just accepting what ever is recommended to them without question.
Unsatisfied is an understatement.........
