Efficient, quality service with regular updates and finished in a shorter time than expected. Felt like I was being treated like family, with special care taking everything into account. We’re trying to keep my 2009 Rav running during the extended wait (likely more than a year) for my new Highlander.
The Service Advisor was great.
I am used to someone greeting me and looking after things immediately. That always happens at Jackson's. Maybe you are short staffed but no one was at your front desk to go to so i waited out in the service department but no one was there until about 10 minutes later someone passing by asked if i had been looked after. Fortunately, it was a recall and only took 15 - 20 minutes before my vehicle was ready
My Corolla required a new alternator; the repair was done quickly and per estimate.
I am somewhat annoyed at the $12.32 charge for "Hardware / Recycling Fee / Environmental Service". All that was replaced was the alternator; no fluids were involved. Next time I will take replaced parts home with me and dispose of them the next time I go to the city of Barrie dump. They charge $10 for a car load and metals can be recycled there.
This $12.32 "fee" should be part of your cost of doing business and covered by the $139.99 hourly rate the same way all your other costs are covered.
Arrived at 2pm, left at 3:30 for the drive through oil change. Management should stagger the lunch breaks for their technicians so the process keeps moving.
