We had an excellent experience dealing with Sherwood Honda for the past month or so. We began the vehicle buying journey by testing out a number of vehicles from around Edmonton. After visiting Sherwood Honda, it was clear why there are so many positive reviews of this dealership. We worked with Ritchie who really took the time to ensure we were selecting the right vehicle to fit our needs. It was a no pressure buying experience, Ritchie was honest and easy to talk to. He made himself available to answer questions via text and responded very quickly. Our test drive vehicles were warm ready right on time. At no point did we ever feel forced to make a decision, we really felt that he wanted us to find the “right” vehicle for our family.
Throughout the experience, the entire Sherwood Honda team made us feel welcome and took the time to understand what is a good fit for us. From Courtney with finance and extended warranties to Dave and his incredible vehicle delivery consultation. Every step of the process was as refined as the last.
I understand that not every car buying or service experience is a good one, but based on what we saw, Sherwood Honda really cares about their customers.
Here’s the facts: I have been taking my Honda to Sherwood Honda excusively for service and repairs since I first leased it and even after I purchased the lease. I've noticed that the quality of workmanship and service has degraded considerably, especially over the last year. I have outright been lied to, I was confronted by an angry technician, the work on my vehicle has been shoddy and I have not been equally compensated for the subsequent loss of time and money due to Sherwood Honda's neglect. I have had to come back because filters were not put in correctly causing rattling, and upon brake inspection the squealer was pushed up causing extremely excessive squealing. I turned around and brought the car back as this wasn't a problem prior to bringing the car in. When I asked why they were squealing suddenly, I was confronted by a belligerent technician and told that it was because the brakes were so dirty so they were quiet and once he cleaned them, they started to squeal. This was clearly a lie as he was able to rectify the problem in the end (after another 1 hour wait) as he was asked by the customer care person to pull back the squealer to where it was prior to me coming in. Also, I was not told the axle seal was leaking on an expensive inspection in December 2016 but was "pouring out" according to the customer care attendant, only a month later when I prompted a check due to oil spots on my driveway. I'm aware that this particular problem is rare and happens very gradually with a noticeable oil spray up inside which should've been detected and reported on my costly inspection only a month prior. Since all service and repair history is with SH, I expect a level of loyalty which has recently not been met at all. Since my last visit I have been bombarded with constant and continual phone calls from Sherwood Honda and more recently from Calgary, assuming you think I’ve blocked the local number, asking me to call back incurring long distance charges. The messages are scripted, exactly the same and never say why you are calling other than regarding my Honda CRV. You’ve had many chances to make this right and it doesn’t include constant harassing phone calls. Just leave me alone or I’ll have no choice to give my reviews to google and others as well as the BBB. Take me off your list!! Stop calling!!
Came in for just an oil change aug 17. Appt at 930 and as of this message still waiting and its noon!!!! Wasted most of my morning waiting for a 2.5 hr oil change.
Car went in for general maintenance oil change and brake flush. Servicing was done and a couple additional items were found. I received a call outlining what was found and what it was going to cost. The servicing including the additions were completed on time.
Have a positive experience with Honda Sherwood. I just don't want to be told how I should write my comments, when I'm the one doing a favor on writing one.
