Kelly Prior is super nice and great to deal with but a bad experience with one of your finance guys has forced me not to recommend SMP anymore. Having already bought 3 cars from SMP I was looking at a long term dealing but I'm not sure anymore. Sorry about that. Wishing you guys good luck and thanks for the great service on my 1st 2 purchases.
You guys called to let me know my vehicle was ready and asked if I needed a ride to the dealership. I said I did and you guys said the shuttle will be on its way. I waited an hour and called the dealership back asking where it was and they said they are on its way. Waited another half hour. I don't care how long it will be to get a ride but don't make me wait by the window for an hour and a half waisting my day. And the dealership did nothing to make up for it. They left garbage in my truck. Messed with the radio and drivers seat. If you are going to screw up, at least wash my vehicle and clean up your mess.

Hi Amy, I apologize for not responding sooner. Also, I am sorry for the miscommunication that led to your extra wait time for a shuttle. You are correct in that we should have communicated to you any shuttle delays. This is a matter of routine, and I sincerely apologize it did not occur in your case. I also had a chance to look into your repair history, and I see we had to disconnect a battery cable as part the work completed on your vehicle. As a result the radio lost its settings, and as a courtesy our technician locked in the local radio stations. I regret that was not explained to you at the time of your service visit. Further, seats are routinely adjusted to accommodate the operator so that a) they can get into your vehicle and b) that vehicles can be safely moved. We do not offer detailing service at this time, but I would, however, like to offer a car wash and detailing as a way of saying sorry for the shuttle delay. Please come in and see me, and we will be very happy to wash your car and clean the interior at no charge. Thank you for your business. Michael Kocsis, Assistant Service Manager
Vehicle Purchase
- pay attention to what the customer wants
- pay attention to customer budget
- only need to deal with one salesperson (not them and their boss because it devalues my belief in initial salesperson's knowledge, skills, and ability to sell) and a finance representative
- no presentation of the current promotions was given - good thing I did my homework
- ignored when salesperson recognized an acquaintance of theirs in the showroom and had to go say 'hi'
- spent a great deal of time (almost an hour) to talk to a finance representative
- the entire process took ALL DAY (roughly 8 hours), and I came in knowing what vehicle I wanted, my modifications to it, etc.
- did not feel valued as a customer, felt "spoken down to" by the salesperson's boss
- some "features" mentioned by the salesperson did not reflect safe driving habits (i.e the back seat slides forward so you can take care of baby/kids while driving)
- strong emphasis to rank the salesperson GREAT at everything on the follow up survey so that they don't receive reprimands from boss. Which is totally bizarre since the boss and financial rep should be evaluated too since they were all involved in the process

Hi Amanda - We are sorry to hear your visit here at SMP was less that satisfactory. We would like to thank you for your feedback, and will take it into consideration in the future.
One of the questions I had asked was how I would be treated after I made my purchase. If I brought in my truck for service , would a loaner be available for use. I was told it wouldn't be an issue to get one. That wasn't the case when I came in for my first service. I was also told I was purchasing a 2016 truck but instead was sold a 2015 model
