The customer service I received when trying to pick up the vehicle was horrible.

When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was greeted with an aggressive and condescending attitude by the attendant. The attendant went as far as threatening me with not renting me the vehicle even after I had provided all required documentation. When I asked for his managers contact information he refused and said that he could only provide an email address. Further to the problem was when I spoke to the manager, he defended the attendants actions and completely neglected the fact that my primary complaint was related to customer service and the method in which a Discount employee spoke to a repeat customer. In all honesty if I did not receive a significant rebate due to a group rate, I would never rent from Discount. Poor manners, poor communication, rude and disrespectful.

Car Rental

The attendant helping me get my cruze was phenominal. Though the car was low on oil life, i do a lot if driving so require vehicle would meet the demands. But not the case, attempts to switch the car for one would not work eith additional employees, and no means to take prosctive effort and provide oil change. Not plan to rent with this company ever again. Only did it due to my provider

GOOD RENTAL TRUCK BUT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I would NOT recommend this company. I reserved a Discount 16 foot cube van online for one day. The first issue was that in order to reserve a rental truck for only one day, you have to say you will return that rental truck before the branch closes (which on a Saturday is 12:30pm). Why there isn't an after hours return option online is beyond me... So I called the Reservation Centre before hand to let them know I would not be able to return the rental trunk until the evening (9pm) after the branch has closed. They told me yes, not a problem, as long as they have the rental truck back by Monday morning 8am before the branch opens. On Saturday I picked up the rental truck. Within an hour (9am) I received a phone call from the Branch Manager telling me they needed the rental truck back by 12:30pm and couldn't understand why someone would ever need a large rental truck for over 4 hours... He made me feel like a criminal, like I was stealing the truck. This is not a fun experience as you are stressed out enough already trying to move homes. Now you are rushed and wondering how much you will now be charged for multiple days... Also Discount advertises " enjoy unlimited kilometers when you pick up and return a cargo or cube van on the same day". That is unless you want to rent the truck on a convenient day for you, like a weekend. If you do that you pay per kilometer. The truck was good and reliable but the customer service was horrible.

Did not have reserved vehicle

I had reserved a cargo van at the Dixon Rd location, only to arrive at the reservation time to be told there were no vehicles. The 2 people working there could not care less about it. Offered no alternative until I insisted they find one. They finally agreed to find another location that would have one. Had to drive out to your Winston Churchill and Dundas location to pick up the van before they closed. This was the total opposite direction of where I needed to be. I would have appreciated a heads up before arriving at the first location so I didn't waste time going there. The service and attitude is very unfortunate. I will likely not use Discount in the future based on this experience.

disappointed

booked at one location and car was not there. took me to another location far away and not open on Sunday, my return day. I had to drop car at same location and then come back on a Sunday when public transport not frequent. the rep at new location where I picked car not very Courteous.
