They mistakenly charged my credit card twice

After dropping off the car everything was fine until I noticed that my credit card statement showed a charge of $40 on top of what I had already paid. I called, they acknowledged there was a mistake and assured me the charge would be voided. But instead there was a $644 additional charge on my credit card. This caused my card to get flagged and now I can’t use it. After calling back I was notified it was another error and that someone would call me right back. It’s been nearly 10 hours and I have yet to hear back and have yet to see the money returned. Probably two honest mistakes, but still very disappointing and frustrating. I deserve more than just my own money back

Van rented but not available when arrived for pick up.

I ordered a Cargo Van from your Evans Avenue office for the day but was told it was only available after 11:00am. I accepted the terms but when I went to pick up the van, I was told it was not available and they have no substitute. After searching they made me go to your 2440 Dundas office to rent a 16ft cube truck. The people at the Dundas office were not aware they were to offer the cube truck for the same price as the cargo van but they did anyway. The people at your Dundas office were courteous, respectful, sympathetic and helpful. Your representative at the Evans Avenue office was disinterested and unhelpful. I would have thought they would have been proactive if the van was not available and would have contacted me before I came to pick the van and notified me of the problem and have some alternatives. I had to rent a truck that was significantly more than I needed and subsequently ended up paying almost triple in gas to refill the truck. I have rented from Discount many times over the years but this experience has made me think about using another rental agency for my next need. Alec Alipanopoulos

Rental car was not on time.

The car was great but this was the second or third time I've arrived to pick up my rental and it's been "en route" and not there on time. The car was a half hour late. That's unacceptable. There's a reason people might order a rental for a specific time. If it happened once I wouldn't complain but it had happened a couple times and I worry about renting from you if it means I may risk being late to wherever I need to go. If you expect customers to have vehicles back on time and you would charge then if they were late, where is my discount for waiting a half hour for my car?

Far too expensive!

We rented a cargo van and it cost us $386.00 for 3 days. I was told I had free kilometres and when I returned the vehicle I was told I went over kilometres and I was charged an extra $55.00 for kilometres. This is outrageous!!!! I also have commercial insurance and was asked to bring documentation when I picked up the vehicle. I did and I was still asked to pay insurance coverage. The vehicle was also dirty on the interior. I will never, ever rent from Discount again. I would never recommend Discount to anyone and will tell people not to rent from Discount. It was a very unpleasant experience that cost a too much money.

I need to talk to someone from the head office . I been charged which i not supposed to due to small accident.
